  • Awarded the Australian Psychological Society 2009 Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award. The Award recognizes the outstanding contribution Ron's work has made to the science of Psychology in Australia.
  • Awarded the 2009 Distinguished Career Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Cognitive Behaviour Research and Therapy by the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.

Dr Heidi Lyneham - "For the implementation of innovative technological improvements and streamlined, improved procedures for the Centre of Emotional Health and the Emotional Health Clinic. Heidi is now an NHMRC post-doctoral research conducting her own trials in child anxiety for families in rural Australia, yet continues to contribute to the Centre and implement major improvements for the benefit of staff and researchers."
Ginny Daldalian - "Ginny repeatedly goes out of her way to help all those who require her services, be they staff or student. Her extensive knowledge of matters under her jurisdiction is clear. Her pleasant disposition is a bonus that makes trips to the undergraduate office a pleasurable as well as productive and informative experience. Ginny is also commended for the matter in which she works with the trainees in the Psychology Office."

MUPRA 2009 Supervisor of the Year. The Supervisor of the Year Award is an annual award to encourage the recognition of excellence in supervision. Nominations are from Macquarie University research postgraduates who have completed more than one year of the research with their supervisors. This year the award was judged by A/Prof. Anna Reid from the Centre for Professional Development.
