Macquarie University Psychology Society
Mission Statement
The Macquarie University Psychology Society (MUPS) is a network support structure for current psychology students studying at Macquarie University. Firstly, the club fosters academic and social interaction between students. Secondly, the club fosters academic and staff relations with students. Thirdly, the club fosters alumni and career relevant relations with students. The aim of the club is to encourage an ‘active’ engagement between psych students and the full experience of university.

Student Relations
Firstly, social interaction will be encouraged by hosting a variety of exciting events in which the students have a chance to network. Secondly, student study networks within subjects will be supported by the club to facilitate active learning (eg. Study groups). It is also the aim of the club to promote and reward high academic achievers.
Student – Academic/Staff Relations
The club will host a series of interactive informal meet and greet sessions between students and academics/staff. It is the aim of the club to promote students to actively engage in the research being undertaken by the Psychology Department.
Student – Alumni and Career Relevant Relations
Students will engage with Macquarie University Alumni and others working in the field of psychology. Guest speakers will discuss a variety of issues with their career of choice. It is the aim of the club to connect those working in the field of psychology with our student members.
