General Information

Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Behaviour

The Department offers a Diploma in Organisational Behaviour. This degree is intended for psychology students who have an interest in developing an understanding of human behaviour within an organisational context. In some cases, students with an appropriate psychology qualification may also articulate into the Master of Organisational Psychology.

Psychology Masters

The Department offers three professional masters programs. All degrees have either full or provisional accreditation by the Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) and associated Colleges and satisfy the requirements for registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. All of the professional Masters courses contain core units in research methodology and psychological assessment.

Psychology Doctorates

The Department offers 3 doctorates in Psychology. All degrees have provisional accreditation by the Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) and associated Colleges and satisfy the requirements for registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

These degrees will help you develop as a scientist-practitioner and be able to make a substantial, advanced, and ongoing contribution to the application of psychological knowledge. The combination of coursework, extended field placements and a substantial research thesis will help you to become well-grounded in theory and practice in either clinical, clinical neuropsychology or organisational psychology. You will be able to assume full independent professional responsibility and maintain an enquiring research attitude in day-to-day work.

Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Master of Social Health

The Social Health program which includes three levels: Master, Postgraduate Diploma, and Postgraduate Certificate. The entry requirement for the Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate is a degree in a relevant discipline (eg Social Work, Nursing, Psychology) or other tertiary training deemed to be equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently working in an area relevant to social health. Direct entry into the Master of Social Health requires a degree in a relevant discipline AND evidence of previous research training (eg completion of a thesis or publication of a research paper). Otherwise, entry to the Master of Social Health will be via enrolment in the Postgraduate Diploma and opportunity to transfer to the Master on successful completion of the Diploma including a research methods unit.

Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Applied Psychology

The Psychology Registration Programs (PSYREGO) in the Department of Psychology are available as Postgraduate (PG) Certificate and PG Diploma awards in Applied Psychology and Statements of Attendance/Attainment.), which includes arrangements for supervision and satisfies the requirements for registration as a Psychologist in NSW.
