Master of Organisational Psychology
Course code: MORGPSY
This course is fully accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and approved by the College of Organisational Psychologists. Students are eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia once they have completed the coursework and placement components of the degree.
Students completing this course will work as organisational psychologists in a wide range of workplaces, primarily consultancies, large companies, and government departments, in areas such as psychological assessment, employee or organisational development, evaluation of programs or human factors, strategic human resources management, and even executive/managerial roles.
Admission requirements
The minimal admission requirement is an honours degree or alternative approved fourth year in psychology (or international qualification(s) deemed equivalent to this level by the Australian Psychological Society). Candidates may be required to undertake additional assessments considered necessary for selection.
NB:
- Domestic applicants for the Master of Organisational Psychology must apply through UAC . All applicants must also submit supplementary documentation directly to Macquarie University .
- International applicants must apply through Macquarie International.
International applicants are also required to prove that their qualifications are equivalent to those offered in Australia by submitting them to the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for assessment. Equivalency is determined by the APS; the outcome of the APS assessment must be submitted with the application. Applications lacking evidence of this assessment will not be processed.

Selection Process
Quota
It will be possible to admit only a limited number of students (around 15 - 20) each year.
Length of Candidature
Candidature is usually between 2 years full-time and 4 years part-time.
Attendance
Full-time or part-time. Students are expected to attend classes, most of which are held in the evenings.
Commencement
1st half year and second half year. Students admitted to the program in the first half year round may also elect to start in the second half of their admission year.

Program of Study
Students who have completed credit points for either the Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Behaviour or the Postgraduate Certificate in Organisational Behaviour may credit these towards a Master of Organisational Psychology, providing that students have been accepted into the full Master of Organisational Psychology.
