Psychology Registration Programs
The Psychology Registration Programs (simply PSYREGO in this Handbook) in the Department of Psychology are available as Postgraduate (PG) Certificate and PG Diploma awards in Applied Psychology and Statements of Attendance/Attainment.
The Applied Psychology program was first introduced in 2000 and for a period was offered as a strand of the Social Health program. From 2008, the Applied Psychology program has been separated from, and is run independently of, the Social Health program. This handbook is designed to give prospective and enrolled students an overview of the program and the specific course requirements. Although some academic and registration regulations are referred to, this is not the official statement of such regulations. For academic regulations please consult the Macquarie University Calendar of Governance, Legislation and Rules. For registration regulations, please consult the Psychologists Act (2001) and the Board’s Supervision Guidelines:
