Welcome to PRAMS, the Perinatal Regulation & Mood Study

On this website you will find information about PRAMS, our research team, and our study findings as they become available. You will also find our contact details and links to PRAMS newsletters and other useful pregnancy and parenting websites.

What is PRAMS?

PRAMS is a longitudinal study investigating the earliest origins of individual differences in infant temperament and other behaviours such as sleeping, feeding and settling. We are particularly interested in finding out more about the biological, psychological and social factors that may influence these behaviours.

The study is being conducted by researchers from Macquarie University and the University of New South Wales and is funded by the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

Study findings will inform the development of evidence-based programs and resources for parents and their infants.

Participating in the study

Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in participating in our study!

As we have now reached our recruitment target we will not be signing up any more new participants.

If you are enrolled in the study, our team will be keeping in touch to let you know about follow-ups through infancy and early childhood. In the meantime, please contact the study team if you have any questions about our research or if your details have changed.
